The Gales of November...Remembered

While the past few weeks have been non-eventful from a weather perspective, this time of November has spawned some of the state’s most powerful and deadly storms. Climatologist Kenny Blumenfeld and Jim du Bois look back at the 1940 Armistice Day Blizzard, and the 1975 sinking of the Great Lakes freighter Edmund Fitzgerald. Also, a glimpse at an unseasonably cold start to the week with a warm-up on the way in time for the weekend. Finally, Kenny and Jim discuss a recently released study signed by more than 11,000 scientists declaring that the Earth is in a “climate emergency” that requires action and sacrifice by all of us.
